The day is perfect, and so is the city.

English Language Essay, Descriptive Tone: Everyone has a unique and special story to tell. Whether it is a humorous one or a sad one, each person has something to offer. The stories we tell ourselves, our families, and friends are the most important ones of all. One of my favorite stories is the one of the three little pigs. The first little pig was very brave and wanted to help his friends build a house, even though he was very small. The second little pig was also brave, but he wanted to build the strongest house possible. The third little pig was the smallest of the three, and he didn't want to do anything. But when it came time to build their houses, the first two little pigs built themselves sturdy homes while the third little pig's house collapsed. It is because he didn't want to do anything that he was the only one who didn't get safe and sound. Everyone has a story to tell

The English language is full of rich vocabulary that can be difficult to navigate if you're not used to it. One such word is 'metaphor'. A metaphor is a figure of speech that uses one word to refer to another, often with an implied comparison. For example, "The rock was too heavy to lift" might be interpreted as saying that the rock was too large and heavy to be moved by the person carrying it, but could also be interpreted as saying that the person was not strong enough to do the job.

Upon first arriving in England, one quickly realizes the vastness of the countryside and the strength of the climate. The vast open fields contrast pleasantly with the tightly packed cityscapes, giving the feeling of a vast, ever-moving wilderness. The weather is also a major contrast; the heavy, damp mist that rolls in off the sea during the mornings and evenings contrasts with the bright, warm sunshine that can be seen during the midday hours.

A cool breeze blows through the open window and stirs the curtains in the bedroom. The soft light of the moon casts an eerie glow on the dark furniture. An old, worn book is lying on the bed.
